I worked for over 5 years on the MADD National Web site, building ColdFusion applications, managing content, and coordinating online communication efforts. I helped move the organization from an all-static, HTML-based Web site, to a completely database-driven solution. I also helped build from scratch MADD's ColdFusion-based Intranet, which assisted the National Office in establishing better communication links with its 600+ chapters across the country. I've continued to work on a number of projects for MADD since leaving to start Olimpio Web Solutions.
Here are a few links to applications I've worked on for MADD, both as an employee and as a contractor:
Law Enforcement Web site
Most recently, MADD hired me to build a special Law Enforcement section of the MADD public Web site. The area includes a section for officer victim tributes, a discussion board, and a wealth of other content regarding drunk driving and underage drinking enforcement.
Laws Database
The alcohol-related laws database application helps people find laws in their own state. I also built an admin area for this application so that MADD staff could update the information.
RSS Feeds
Using XML, more and more sites are syndicating their content. I developed a way for MADD to syndicate its press releases using RSS.
Contact Page
I worked with internal staff at MADD to develop a process for how email would come in through the Web site. This application ensures email gets routed to the correct person.
